Hummmaya is an iconic location situated in the small fishing village called KudaWella near the southern coastal area of Sri Lanka. Hummanaya is a natural blow hole and it is caused when sea water rushes through a submerged cavern and is pushed upwards. The seawater flows underneath the shore Nd then comes out of this hole due to pressure. The water fountain created by the geological features shoots up every couple of minutes depending on the nature of the sea, with the spray often reaching as high as 25M to 50 M. One of the unique aspects of Hummanaya is its unpredictable timing. unlike eruptions are influenced by the tides and the intensity of the waves.
